Charles S. Withey, Sugar Broker, Dies

Native of Grand Rapids to Be Buried on Monday

Charles S. Withey, a lifelong resident of grand Rapids and a member of one of its most prominent families died yesterday at Blodgett hospital.

He was a brother of the late Lewis H. Withey, president of the Michigan Trust company, and son of the late Judge Solomon Withey. He was born in Grand Rapids 64 years ago. For many years he engaged in the sugar brokerage business.

Surviving are his widow, one son Lewis H. Withey, II, and two grandchildren. He was a member of the Kent Country club, had attended the University of Michigan and was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon.

Funeral services will be held at the residence, 457 Paris ave., S.E. Monday at 2 p.m. Burial will be private.
