Dedham - George A. Withee, 58, died Oct. 29, 1985, at a Bangor hospital. He was born in Bangor, Nov. 16, 1926, the son of Roland and Alma (Libby) Withee. He attended Brewer schools, was a Navy veteran of World War II and was employed as a maintenance man with the Bangor School department for several years. He was a member of the James W. Williams Post American Legion of Bangor. He is survived by three sons, David of Winterport, Wayne of New Hampshire and Paul of Rhode Island; one daughter , Laura Kilby of East Boothbay; one brother, Earl of Aurora, Colo.; three sisters, Irene Keaton of Bradley, Ella Milheron of Bangor and Jane Jardy of Eddington; five grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Philip E. Piper Funeral Home, 185 N. Main St., Brewer, with the Rev. Randoll Chretien officiating. Burial will be in Blackman Cemetery, Eddington. Friends may call at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Tuesday.
