She attended schools in Thorndike before moving to Belfast.
In 1951, she married Frank Dunton in Belfast. He died in 1956. While in Belfast, Mrs. Withee worked in a shoe factory and poultry plant before operating a restaurant there.
She attended church in Searsmont. Moving to Rockland in 1962, she married Walter E. Withee in 1970. With her husband she owned and operated the Little Red Wagon lunch stand near the Tradewinds for over 20 years, retiring in 1997.
In more recent years, Mrs. Withee could be seen driving her little blue Ford Festiva around town.
She is predeceased by her second husband Walter, and one grandson, Herbert Harford.
Mrs. Withee is survived by her daughter, Billine M. Alley of South Thomaston, five grandchildren, Robert, Roland, James, Frank and Sidney Harford; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren, as well as a special friend, Stephen Johnson.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 23, 2001 at Achorn Cemetery, Old County Road, Rockland, with Pastor Warren Heath officiating.
