The service, with full military honors, will be 4 p.m. today at McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Totten officiating. The remains will be cremated.
Visitation will be today at 2 p.m. until the hour of service today [sic] at the funeral home.
He was born July 13, 1945, in Rockland, Maine, son of Earl Withee and Dorothy Withee Smith.
Mr. Withee was retired from the U.S. Army as a sergeant first class and served two tours in Vietnam before establishing the North Clarksville VFW Post 11160. He was a charter member of Grace Bible Church, a member of St. Bethlehem Kiwanis, and was coordinator for Montgomery and Stewart counties Promise Keepers.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Stirling Withee, Clarksville; a son, James Scott Withee, Martinsburg, W.Va.; a daughter, Rebbecca Dorobis, Bozman, mont.; a brother, Earl Withee, Ocala, Fla.; sister, Florence Thompson, Rockland; and five grandchildren.

(June 27, 2000): Clarksville, Tenn. -- Andrew C. Withee, 54, husband of Linda Stirling Withee, died Friday, June 23, 2000 at Gateway Medical Center.
Born in Rockland, July 13, 1945, he was the son of Earl D. and Dorothy Demuth Withee.
Educated in local schools, he was a 1963 graduate of Rockland High School. He attended Glen Cove Bible College.
A career U.S. Army Sergeant, he served two tours in Vietnam and was the recipient of two Purple Hearts and a Medal of Valor.
Mr. Withee was a charter member of the North Clarksville, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #11160, Grace Bible Church and Bethlehem Kiwanis Club.
He was active in a Children’s "Clown" Ministry at Grace Bible Church and was a co-ordinator for Promise Keepers in Montgomery and Stewart counties.
Besides his wife of Clarksville, Mr. Withee is survived by his mother Dorothy Smith of Waldoboro; one son and his wife, James S. and Joan Withee of Martinsburg, W. Va.; one daughter and her husband Rebecca and Paul Dorobis of Bozman, Mont.; one brother and his wife, Earl and Patricia Withee of Ocalla, Fla.; one sister and her husband, Florence and James Thompson of Rockland; five grandchildren, Catherine, Allison, Timothy, Anna and Scott as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2000 at Littlefield Memorial Baptist Church, 1 Waldo Ave., Rockland. The Reverend Dr. Linwood Welch will officiate.
