Mrs. M’Wethy Dies; Services Set Thursday

Mrs. Rose Etta McWethy, 67, 509 East Grove street, died at 5 p.m. Tuesday following a lingering illness.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Owens funeral home. Reverend Merlin Garber, pastor of the Church of the Brethren, will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery.

Mrs. McWethy, daughter of John and Jane Smith, was born March 25, 1880, in Centerville, She was married to Otis McWethy on Sept. 20, 1896.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1928; a son, Emory, in 1918, and a daughter, Mrs. Elsie Dodd, in 1936. Her parents also preceded her in death.

Surviving are two sons, Alva; 1102 North McKinley avenue, and Orville, 305 East Healey street; one brother, Arthur Smith, Centerville; two sisters, Mrs. James Winters, 110 South Lynn street, Urbana, and Mrs. Theodore Sprinkle, Deland, and 13 grandchildren.

She was a member of the Church of the Brethren
