John Robbie "CJ" McWethy, 47, of Aurora passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 9 2002 at Rush-Copley Memorial Hospital. He was born October 17, 1954 and lived his entire life in Aurora.
He graduated from West Aurora High School in 1972 and attended Illinois Wesleyan University. He was self-employed working in the building trades.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Kathleen (McMahon) McWethy of Aurora; his daughter, Stephanie Jean McWethy of Aurora; his parents, E.J. and Martha McWethy of Aurora; a sister, Nancy (Robert) Lusk of Aurora; a brother, James (Stephanie) McWethy and their daughter, Mia Lenore McWethy of Medford, Massachusetts; his aunt, Mrs. James McWethy of Aurora.
Also surviving are John's father and mother-in-law, Joseph and Mary Ellen McMahon; a sister-in-law, Eileen Ratiu; a nephew, Gregory Ratiu; a brother-in-law, Richard McMahon; two nieces, Katie and Megan McMahon; and a nephew, Charles McMahon all of Aurora.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00a.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2002 at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Pl., Aurora.
Rev. Gary McCann will officiate.
Interment will be in Bay View, Michigan.
Visitation will take place from 4:00 - 8:00p.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2002 at The Healy Chapel. A prayer service will be conducted by Fr. Dean Russell of Holy Angels Church at 4:00p.m.. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the American Heart Association or to Holy Angels School.
