Mrs. Ida I. McWethy, 88, widow of Anson L. McWethy who died in 1911, died Thursday afternoon at the residence of a son, Olney J. McWethy, 1571 Lyon st., N.E. after a two-year illness. She was born in DeWitt and spent a number of years on a farm near St. Johns before coming to Grand Rapids.

Five other children survive. Theya re Mrs. W.O. Wilkinson of St. Louis, Ralph G. McWethy of Saginaw, Rex J. McWethy of Midland, Mrs. Harvey H. Newman of Bremerton, Wash., and Edna E. McWethy of Spokane, Wash. There are 19 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

The body will be taken to St. Louis for burial.
