The body of Mrs. Hutton, who died on Tuesday was lying in the front room of the lower floor of the dwelling at the time the fire was discovered. Mr. Hutton, who is employed at the University, was in bed from an attack of influenza at the time the fire alarm was sent in. Most of the Furniture and the contents of the house was saved by the help of neighbors and firemen. The cause of the fire has not been made known, but at the time it was first seen, there was a small patch of flames on the roof near the chimney. The chemical truck of the fire department was sent, but the entire second floor was in flames when it arrived. A bucket brigade was formed, and water was carried from a well to the surroundings to save them from destruction. The nearest fire plug was abut 4,000 feet from the burning building, which made it impossible to get water from the city mains.
