Port Byron - Services for Mrs. Edna Wethey Corfield, 80, formerly of Port Byron and Lincoln, Neb., who died Thursday at her home in Clearwater, Fla., will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Scott and Mann Funeral Home, 234 N. Main St. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
Born in Port Byron, Mrs. Corfield had resided in Clearwater two years.
She was the widow of Prof. George Sidley Corfield, former head of the geography and geology department at Nebraska Wesleyan University.
Mrs. Corfield, a graduate of Port Byron High School and Geneseo Normal School, taught elementary grades in Port Chester. She was a member of the Lincoln (Neb.) Methodist Church.
Surviving are a sister, Miss Inez Wethey of Clearwater, Fla.; a brother, Howard E. Wethey of Port Byron; two nephews and two nieces.
