Mrs. Henrietta Carnell, 76, widow of Frank Carnell, who died last June, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fanny Pennock, 71 East Kingman avenue, Monday evening at 6:40 o’clock. She had been ill seven days. Mrs. Carnell was born in Johnstown township, Barry county, July 15, 1858, but had lived in Battle Creek only about four years. Surviving her are Mrs. Pennock, and another daughter, Mrs. Daisy Arnold of Kalkaska; three sons, William of Sonoma, Harry of Orlando, Fla., and Fred of Albion: 19 grandchildren: three brothers, Theodore Martin of Marshall, Oren of Factoryville, and Will of West Michigan avenue road: three sisters, Mrs. Ida Brown of West Michigan avenue, Mrs. Sarah Juckett of Kalamazoo, and Mrs. Nora Lavida of Peninsular street. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Pendill funeral home. Dr. Lloyd H. Nixon will conduct the service and burial will be made in Bedford.
