He was b--- d Killingsworth Conn Aug 4 1670. He m. Hannah Elderkin dau of John Elderkin and wf Abigail ---... He was granted tract of land Norwich Conn 1660. Had an early allotment near the town plot and shared in the 1st division of land there. He worked on vessels at New London Conn - Newport RI and a shipbuilder by trade. Richard married Hannah Elderkin, daughter of John Elderkin and Abigail Kingslane, about 1661 in Killingworth, Middlesex, Connecticut. (Hannah Elderkin was born about 1643 in Dedham, Norfolk, Massachusetts and died on 23 Jan 1687 in Wethersfield, Hartford, Connecticut.)
