NOTE: "Richard Hendee was evidently of French origin and was the emigrant over, an original proprietor of Norwich, Conn in 1658. He was b--- d Killingsworth Conn Aug 4 1670. He m. Hannah Elderkin dau of John Elderkin and wf Abigail ---... He was granted tract of land Norwich Conn 1660. Had an early allotment near the town plot and shared in the 1st division of land there. He worked on vessels at New London Conn - Newport RI and a shipbuilder by trade.
